United Way of Thurston County: Together, we can do more!

FTE_2016Washington State employees are amazing. Tireless, inspired, creative, dedicated- these are just a few of the words that describe you. They are also reflected in the work of United Way of Thurston County.

United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our community. In 2015, we saw over 600 volunteers active through Volunteer Thurston give 67,750 hours of service to our community, assisted over 200 local nonprofits through direct support, and helped over 500 kids in 24 schools improve their reading skills through our Reading Buddies program. In addition, because of you and your contributions we reduced hunger in our community serving 296,420 meals to low income seniors and families.

We rely on the community’s generosity to solve problems together. United Way is supported by people who invest through their workplace giving campaigns. The Washington State Combined Fund Drive (CFD) is critical to our success. We appreciate the generosity, caring and trust that state employees provide through United Way investments. Making a donation to United Way is making a true investment in our community. Please be assured that with every dollar given you are helping make change happen.

When you choose to support United Way of Thurston County, you help improve the lives of struggling children and families in our community. We believe that only by coming together will we be able to make our community stronger. Invest in YOUR United Way. Visit www.unitedway-thurston.org/give.

Washington State employees can give through the Combined Fund Drive (CFD). United Way of Thurston County’s CFD Charity Code is #0316736.

Thank you for all you do for your community. Together, we can do this!
