Everyone Needs A Home To Be Successful

homesfirstDo you know that in Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater there are over 1,400 children enrolled in school as homeless?

Homes First provides safe, healthy, affordable rental housing to people who need it most. We can only do that through building partnerships. Won’t you join us by becoming a Hero for Housing partner?

homes-first-2016Through the Combined Fund Drive you can be part of the solution to eradicate homelessness for these children and their parents.

Children deserve a chance to succeed in school and in life, which all begins with their family being able to   afford a decent place to live.

Homes First, your local non-profit, has been providing affordable rental housing in Thurston County for 26 years. With the help of many volunteers and partnerships we have served over 3,000 people, own 35 properties, and have 188 tenants. Homes First properties are comprised of five Oxford Homes for clean and sober living for both men and women; 11 homes for those with disabilities; one veterans shared housing, and 18 scattered site homes and apartments.

By the end of 2016 Homes First will begin providing housing for homeless veterans in Mason County. Through partnerships with Mason County, the City of Shelton and Catholic Community Services affordable rental housing and a shelter will be opened in Shelton.

At Homes First we believe everyone needs to be in a home to build a successful life and a successful community.
