Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason and Thurston Counties – CFD #0316258

The Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason, & Thurston Counties (CAC) strengthen individuals and families to lessen the impacts of poverty.

We serve the three county area with a variety of programs that include: Affordable Housing; Crime Victim Service Centers; Energy Assistance; Food Commodities; Housing and Homeless Services; Monarch Children’s Justice & Advocacy Center; Weatherization; and Women, Infants, & Children (WIC).

We believe securing a family’s health and well-being is a long-term investment in individual lives and our community.

We believe everyone should have access to enough healthy, nutritious food to thrive in school, work, and at home.

We believe all families and individuals should have a safe, affordable place to live and call home.

We believe in actively working with our community to provide resource referrals, training opportunities, and partnerships.

Each year, the Community Action Council and our incredible teams serve:

3,000 WIC Families

800 child victims and their non-offending family members

26,000 people with resource referrals

692 people in 375 affordable housing units

4,391 households with Energy Assistance

317 homeless or those at risk of homelessness

104 homes with Weatherization services

23,000 individuals with food at local food banks and soup kitchens

The Community Action Council actively partners with 70 organizations, both private and public, to expand resources and opportunities in order to achieve family and community outcomes.

Contributions and donations to the Council support the incredible work done by the programs in our community. Ninety cents of every dollar donated goes directly into the services provided to clients. We are incredibly grateful for donors, community supporters, and sponsors who contribute to the mission of CAC. You make a difference in the lives of those we serve and that difference makes our community a better place for everyone.
