CFD: ‘From Pieces to Peace’- CFD Supports Empowerment Advocacy SafePlace

Thank you Washington State employees for your long history of supporting SafePlace! SafePlace has been serving survivors of sexual and domestic violence in our community for over 35 years, and with your support, we will continue providing the kind of personalized empowerment based advocacy that our services are built on.

Your gift through the CFD helps support the SafePlace mission to strive to end sexual and domestic violence and advocate for personal and societal change through crisis intervention and education. As a current CFD participant recently wrote:

‘I just want to say thank you to SafePlace for all that you do.  I know my gift through the CFD each year is very small but I am trying to give back to those that helped me during a difficult time.  In 2004, I was able to find temporary housing with SafePlace’s help so that I could get out of a difficult situation.  Thank you, again!’ – CFD participant

SafePlace offers a spectrum of comprehensive services, including safe 24-hour confidentially located shelter, legal advocacy, 24-hour sexual assault response, 24 hour helpline, children’s services, support groups, walk-in advocacy, outreach, education and prevention. We want every person to experience a safe and nurturing home where self worth and dreams blossom.

SafePlace is the only approved domestic violence service provider for Thurston County as designated by WA State DSHS, and the only 24- hour Community Sexual Assault Program for Thurston County, accredited by Washington State.

We receive many touching letters from clients who have successfully re-built their lives for themselves and their children, made possible by contributions from individuals like you.

“SafePlace never failed to provide resources and within a week my son was enrolled in child care which allowed me the opportunity to seek employment. I landed a job, found a place for my son and me to call home, but most importantly I was starting to believe in myself again.”
