Jan. 30, Fri., Deadline for nominations to the United Way of Thurston County for the Gladys Burns Human Service Award, which recognizes an outstanding volunteer or professional from the human services community in Thurston County. The individual will be selected based on their length of service, impact on addressing community need and leadership on community issues. The recipient will receive a $500 stipend for the charity of his or her choice, a special recognition plaque, and will be honored on March 13 at United Way’s annual luncheon held at Saint Martin University’s Worthington Center.
