June 25, Wed., 6-8:30 p.m.; Bayview School of Cooking (BSC presents Steve Roberts, author of Wine Trials of Washington, for the class, "Wine Tasting Destinations in Washington's Wine Country." This is a great way to map your summer trip planner for a "tasting get-away" in the state's wine country. Roberts will present recommendations to the state's prominent (and perhaps least obscure) vineyards and suggests travel routes to wineries and points of interest along the way. Enjoy his PowerPoint travelogue with great wine, Q & A discussion and his "best" list for everything from scenic views to picnic areas! Wine tasting and complementary cheeses included. The class is $50 per person.

June 27, Fri., 5-7:30 p.m. Bayview School of Cooking (BSC) moves their Friday’s Uncorked, casual, comparative wine tastings outside to the deck of Bayview Thriftway (weather permitting). Enjoy a relaxing evening of wine sampling complete with complementary cheeses. On-going pourings allow attendees to arrive anytime between and sample 5-6 wines. Friday’s Uncorked will be held the fourth Friday of each month: (June 27 -Aussie Reds) Activities take place in the BSC demo kitchen on the second floor of Bayview Thriftway, located at 516 West 4th Avenue in downtown. June 28 and 29, Sat. & Sun. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Maryhill Museum of Art in Goldendale invites residents of Mason, Pierce, and Thurston counties to visit FREE. Residents of those counties need only present their driver's license and receive complimentary admission. The museum is open daily, March 15 to November 15. Admission fees are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $2 for children age 6-16. Maryhill is located off Highway 97, 12 miles south of Goldendale.
